Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Modern Agile Systems Consultants (“we”, “us” or “our”) is an IT consulting firm based in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, serving clients in the United States and Puerto Rico. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit modernagilesystems.com (the “Site”), use our client portal or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. Please also read our Terms of Use.
Information you give us
- Contact form, email and phone. Your name, company, email address, phone number, the topic you choose and your message. Contact form messages are delivered to us by email; the Site does not keep a separate copy.
- Client portal. If you are a client, your account details (name, email address, username and company) and everything you submit in an incident: descriptions, replies, impact and urgency, and the history of each request.
- Job applications. If you apply for a position, your résumé and anything else you choose to send us.
Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers or other highly sensitive information through the contact form or in portal incidents. If we need credentials to do our work, we will agree on a secure way to share them.
Information collected automatically
- Security (always on). The Site is protected by Wordfence, a security service from Defiant, Inc. To detect and block attacks, it records information about each visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the time of the request and sign-in attempts. Wordfence may check IP addresses and request details against Defiant’s threat intelligence. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs for security and reliability.
- Analytics (only with your permission). If you click “Accept analytics”, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site: pages viewed, how you arrived (for example from a search engine), general location (city or region), device and browser type, and actions such as sending the contact form or tapping our phone number or email address. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, and we have not turned on Google signals or advertising features.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use two kinds:
- Necessary cookies keep the Site secure and let clients and staff sign in. They do not need consent and cannot be switched off on this Site. They include
mas_consent(remembers your cookie choice for 6 months); WordPress sign-in cookies such aswordpress_logged_in_*,wordpress_sec_*,wordpress_test_cookieandwp-settings-*(only when you sign in to the client portal or dashboard); and Wordfence cookies such aswfwaf-authcookie-*, which help the firewall recognize signed-in users and are only set after you sign in. - Analytics cookies are only set if you click “Accept analytics”:
_gaand_ga_*from Google Analytics, which distinguish visitors and sessions and last up to 2 years.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you choose “Only necessary” after accepting, we remove the Google Analytics cookies we can reach. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as “Only necessary” automatically. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking necessary cookies may stop the client portal from working.
How we use information
- To answer your questions, prepare proposals and provide our services.
- To run the client portal: create and track incidents, notify our team and send you updates by email.
- To review job applications.
- To protect the Site, our clients and ourselves from attacks, fraud and abuse.
- With your permission, to measure how the Site is used and improve it.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site and our business, under their own privacy and security commitments:
- Our website hosting provider, which stores the Site and its data.
- Google, for email delivery and business email (Google Workspace or Gmail) and, only with your permission, Google Analytics.
- Defiant, Inc., which provides the Wordfence security service.
- Team messaging tools (such as Slack or Microsoft Teams), when used to alert our team about new portal incidents.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
How long we keep information
We keep contact messages and job applications for as long as needed to respond and for our normal business records. Client portal accounts and incidents are kept for the length of the client relationship and a reasonable period afterward, then deleted or anonymized unless the law requires us to keep them. Security logs are kept for a limited time and removed automatically. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), a web application firewall, limits on sign-in attempts, private portal records visible only to your company and our team, and regular updates. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it or stop using it for a particular purpose. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, and we will honor them as those laws require. We will not treat you differently for making a request. To make a request, contact us using the details below; we may need to confirm your identity first. Clients can also update their account details by contacting us.
Children
The Site and our services are meant for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Other websites
The Site links to other websites, including our clients’ sites in our case studies. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Where information is processed
We and our service providers store and process information in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred here.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
